Earlier on Tuesday a staff member of the Cass County Humane Society got a phone call and to not disturb anyone inside he deiced to attend it outside. He exited the main building and walked to the side of the building a little further away. It was then when his eyes caught the sight of not one but actually 3 taped up boxes on the ground.

The Executive Director at the Cass County Humane Society named Amanda Lane said, “At first the staff member was confused so he came back in and asked if anyone knew about the boxes. Hearing about the boxes, our shelter manager went outside himself to check the boxes.”

Everyone was thinking that as the shelter was open, nobody had any treason to leave any animal abandoned inside these boxes. However, when the manager opened the boxes, to his immense dismay, there were 6 pairs of eyes staring back at him, so he quickly tore opened rest of the boxes as well.

The first of the 3 boxes had inside 6 kittens which were 2 weeks old and were really scared and overheated. As for the 2^nd box, it had the mother. As for the 3^rd box, it had inside an adult cat as well as another kitten which was slightly older. They all had one thing in common; they were all confused and really scared. These boxes had been in the 80 degrees of heat outside for nearly half an hour. No one dared to imagine what would have had happened to them if nobody found them.

Lane said, “Although there were hole punctured in the boxes, no air was getting inside. We rushed all 3 boxes inside and these poor souls were looking at us with their sacred eyes.”

The staff reunited the tiny kittens with their mother who was obviously thrilled to see them. Then they placed the older cat with the older kitten and seeing them proved that they were related.

All of these nine cats were severely dehydrated and overheated. Once the staff gave them food, water and cool air, they were doing just fine. One o the 6 kittens had a deformity on its rib cage and is currently under observation of a vet. Apart from this kitten, everyone other cat is doing just great.

Lane said, “The mother cat and her kittens will be put up for adoption in the coming 4 to 6 weeks while the adult cat and her kitten will be up for adoption as soon as next week.”

Earlier last month, a group of kids was playing outside a housing complex located in Phoenix, Arizona when they came across a stray little kitten. Seeing the kitten, the kids realized that something was wrong with it.

The director of the “Arizona Shih Tzu and Small Breed Rescue” named Kathy Hamel said, “I am really sure that these kids had no idea what they saw when they took the cat to their home and asked their parents about it.”

Few young kids took the kitten inside their apartment and their parents were shocked as well as confused to see this kitten whose hind legs were covered with 2 makeshift casts. As for why someone would do such a thing, no one could think of a reason. Thinking that kitten had broken legs and had cast, the parents of kids called Hamel who is well known for animal rescues.

Hamel said, “Seeing the kitten I instantly thought that she needed a vet. When the kitten was brought to me, it came with a little girl of 4 years old who was also one of her finders. The little girl had named the kitten ‘Cupcake’ and I told her that I really love the name and would keep it.”

After getting Cupcake, Hamel took her to the vet as besides these casts, Cupcake was severely dehydrated as well as malnourished. Cupcake would have not survived another day if she had not been found by those kids.

It took the vet nearly an hour to completely remove the casts. One was easy to remove while the other was so hard that the vet had to soak it in water to loosen it. As it turned out, Cupcake had no broken legs.

They way the casts were wrapped around her legs; it was clearly the work of an adult human being. It left everyone wondering as to why on earth any sane person would do something so cruel to a little animal.

Cupcake was estimated to be around 6 months old and weighed only .980 pounds. Apart from being malnourished, Cupcake had no other health problems.

Hamel said, “Despite going through the horrible experience, the kitten amazingly has a high spirit and loves to receive all the attention from the staff at the vet’s clinic.

Despite being still on her path to full recovery, many people have lined up to adopt Cupcake once she is fully healed.

Most of us, when throwing garbage in the dumpster do not tend to look inside it. However, there is one good person who had the time to look inside a dumpster while throwing garbage and came upon on a shocking discovery. What he saw actually shook him to his very core.

Inside the dumpster was a tiny stray puppy that had been dumped by some cruel person inside the dumpster located in Kansas City. The puppy was tossed in between the garbage heaps and was looking really confused and scared at his surroundings. The puppy was clearly not belonged inside the dumpster and it was his good fortune that he had been found.

The person who found the dog lifted him out of the dumpster immediately and took him to the organization named Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption. The staff of the organization was not willing to believe that the poor pup had been found inside a dumpster.

On their Facebook page, the Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption wrote a follows, “This is not an excuse to treat a poor animal soul in such a manner as a human being. We are absolutely disgusted by the way that someone had actually treated the dog in such a manner. We are humans and we can certainly do much better than this.”

The puppy was named as Minimus by the rescue staff and they guessed the age of the puppy to be 2 months. Although the staff says that the dog was not in his best condition, he would certainly make full recovery given enough time and care.

As for the little fellow, even after going through such a horrible experience, he is in high spirits and is very happy with all the attention he is getting from the rescue staff. He loves to cuddle in his towel which is so much better than the cold he had to experience in the dumpster.

This was no excuse for any human being to simply dump a puppy into a dumpster. The staff of the rescue center would have been willing to have him if they had simply submitted it to them.

Fortunately for Minimus, he is better now and is recovering fast at his new loving foster home.
