Cute Therapy Dog Cheers for Runners at Boston Marathon

Meet Spencer, who is an 8 years old good boy and a certified therapy dog. He is not only a therapy dog but also a cheerleader.

The Golden Retriever and his dad named Rich Powers go to almost everywhere, where they are needed. Spencer visits the schools, senior centers, and hospitals to spread the joy. His most notable cheerleading session was at the Boston Marathon where he cheered for the runners.

Below is the video of the Spencer sitting on a crate at the last year’s marathon with a flag in his mouth with wiring ‘Boston Strong”. The video went viral and was viewed for almost 3 million times on Facebook.

Runners were also happy to see such a great supporter and even stopped to take pictures with him. His dad also wore him a coat, so the brave dog would not feel the cold and rain and cheer for the runners in comfort.

Now the marathon is happening again and Spencer is taking part like last year too. This year, he has come with the weather forecast and is prepared for the weather.

Spencer was seen wearing a yellow raincoat when the skies filled up over Boston. The coat helped him stayed dry and also to stand out in the crowd of thousands.

The pup, which was stationed near the 2-mile marker was seen holding two flags in his mouth this time and was content to cheer the runners. His presence was a welcomed one by the runners as they started the 26.2 miles marathon course.

Most of the dogs held at the Fulton County Shelter snuck their heads out of their Kennels looking for some attention but Iris is different from them.

She tries to make herself invisible by shoving herself into one corner as people come by to look.

Iris along with her pregnant sister was rescued off the street of Georgia and the life for her at the shelter was tough. One volunteer named Laurel-Ann Dooley realized that if nothing was done, it would be too late to save her.

Dooley wrote on her Facebook account, “to say that this pup is scared is js6t an understatement. She has completely shut herself down and just lies on the floor all the time or pushes her nose into one corner. Although she lets me pet her, most of the time, she keeps herself in the corner. No treat can tempt her from not doing that.”

Dooley’s post caught the attention of the Barkville Dog Rescue who tried to found a foster home for iris but it proved quite difficult.

Finally, when the post was seen by a former vet tech named Lin Rocke, she knew that she could make a difference in poor pup’s life.

She told media, “I asked my husband to please let me do this. I know as to how to nurse a scared dog back to health. My husband being sweet and supportive of my feelings agreed to it. Now his own office is filled with dog stuff.”

After arriving at Rocke’s house, Iris again hid herself in a corner. Soon after a few days, Iris started to warm up to her new living arrangements.

Rocke said, “Iris moved from one corner to another corner of the room. Now I can sit next to her and also do my work. I am letting her get used to me existing around her.”

Iris now also has a buddy named Letty, a golden retriever, to help her with her transition. It was al because of Letty that Iris moved from the crate to the bed.

Still, Iris is a bit scared but she is now also grateful for the bowl of food which is offered to her. Little by little she is beginning to learn the joys of being a dog that has a loving home.

Meet Toli, a sweet and adorable service dog who has one purpose in life, to make the life of his best friend Michael Cantu a whole lot easier.

Cantu told media, “Toli has been with me ever since the first time I got him. He helps me around the house by opening doors and drawers along with helping me to turn off and on the lights, and pick up anything that I drop.”

Toil always loves to lend his paw to his best fired. However, on one special day, it was all about him.

Earlier this week, Toli celebrated his 4^th birthday and Cantu decided to mark this occasion in the best way for Toli.

Instead of risking picking Toli’s present, Cantu decided to let his dear pup make his own choice above all the others. Cantu took Toli right to the source, which is the plaything aisle of their local pet store. There he let the Toli, who was wagging his tail joyfully, chose from many different options.

Below is the video of the adorable moment, when Toli was walking down the aisle choosing himself a Birthday gift very carefully.

Cantu said, “Toli also has a tradition for his birthday. He loves to take long naps and cuddle with his toys.”

You guys must be wondering, what did Toli buy for this birthday, Right?

Well, he chose himself a plushy Rabbit Toy.

Doesn’t he look adorable with it?

Cantu says, “The rabbit has been named as Chungus and Toli loves it dearly., he takes the toy everywhere with him.”

Now that’s one happy looking pup. This does not mean that Toli has abandoned his duties of being a service dog in light of having a new friend. He still takes care of Cantu very well in his daily life.

Considering all the great work that Toli does for Cantu, this much of a toy is well deserved.

Chris is a homeless old man who lives on the street of Sydney, Australia with his pet rat Lucy. They have become a sight for the people passing by on the streets all across the city and with one look one can tell that they both love each other very much.

Everyone thought that Chris and Lucy would be together until one day. Chris was spotted without Lucy by his side.

According to Chris on April 6^th, he went to a bathroom with his things outside and at that time a woman came and took Lucy out of his belongings. Chris, distraught at the incident reported it to the police who started the search for Lucy.

Finally, after 1 week of the rigorous search, Police was able to locate Lucy and brought her back to Chris at the local police station.

As for the woman who took Lucy thought she had been abandoned and so she took her home to care of Lucy. It was all a big misunderstanding on her part and luckily now that the issue has been resolved. Lucy and Chris are back together once more.

The officers that found Lucy brought her over to Chris in a card box. As soon as Lucy saw Chris she started to scamper on the sides of the box trying to reach Chris. Chris then checked her up out of the box and checked if Lucy was alright or not. He was overjoyed to see that Lucy was indeed healthy and fine.

Chris in the video reunion can be heard saying, “That’s her. Yep, she remembers me.”

After Chris and Lucy had their little reunion, Chris thanked the officers as well as apologized for all the trouble they had to go through while looking for Lucy.

After that police officers gave Lucy and Chris a ride to wherever they wanted to go.

Parents of the 6 years old Leo Downs told their son that they need to step inside the building to donate some supplies.

Little did Leo know that this was actually one of the best surprises of his young life that he will remember for the rest of his life.

This was not any building but was, in fact, the “Stray Rescue of St Louis”.

A few months ago, the Downs family lost their beloved family dog Mellow who naturally died at the age of 13 years old.

When Katie was pregnant with Leo, Mellow remained by her side as a faithful dog to protect her. After Leo was born, he showed the same devotion to his new little brother.

Downs said, “Anywhere Leo went, Mellow was there to protect him. We got Leo a bunk bed and give him the top bunk. Guess who got the lower bed? You guessed it right, it was Mellow.”

Downs after Mellow’s death decided to not have dogs for a while. As for Leo, he kept asking his mom for another dog.

Slowly Downs started to become warm to the idea of having another dog. They looked at the Stray Rescue of St Louis website for dogs. There, Downs saw a 9 months old pit bull mix dog named Nutty Buddy that made her heart skip a beat.

She said, “His resemblance to our Mellow was uncanny and I showed it to my husband. He quickly said to put in the adoption application for him.”

Once the adoption application was done, it would be a surprise for young Leo.

At the shelter, Leo was standing behind his parents and volunteer came out holding a little puppy and Leo could not believe his eyes.

Luckily for us, the staff of the shelter was recording this heart touching moment.

Now Nutty Buddy is the part of the Downs family.

Leo and Nutty buddy are now best friends and do each and everything from playing to snuggling each other together.

Well, here we are back again with our same argument that animals like to play sports and especially dogs. This time we bring to you a video proof from the far away land of Scotland.

A playful dog in Scotland is seemed to be a great footballer in disguise. As it happens to be the dog is also quite eager to show his skills to one particular person. Well, in fact, the dog seems to be insistent on showcasing his talent.

The daughter of a particular postman, Amy Barbour posted a tweet along with a video stating that the dog in her video has some mad soccer skills.

Barbour wrote on her tweet, “So this is the dog that won’t let my dad deliver his mail unless he plays soccer with him. He finally managed to take the video of this dog and a canny to believe my eyes, the dugs incredible!.”

Watch the video captured by postman down below.

The dog is even a multitasker with balls as he can be seen having another small ball in his mouth while he kicks the soccer ball back and forth towards postman, as for the postman who is shooting this video, he could not stop laughing during one of the adorable plays in the world.

Postman can be heard saying in the video, “That is brilliant. This is incredible.”

This adorable dog seems to be a natural at playing soccer.

Rebecca Mills and her family was driving back home from their road trip from the Granite Gorge Nature Park I located in Australia and were feeling relaxed when they suddenly noticed something bizarre.

On the front side of their car, a giant snake was calmly hitching a ride.

Mills after posting the video wrote about her encounter on social media, “you have heard about Snakes on a Plane but we actually had snakes on a range.”

The family was quite alarmed seeing the giant snake hitching ride on their car but the snake was completely unfazed by all this. He was casually lying on the car as he bobbed his head around.

As the snake was holding on to the car, the family yelling what to do. Mills’ husband could be heard in the video saying that the snake is his pet now. As for their daughter, she was quite terrified of this whole scenario.

Mills told media, “With no place to pull the car to the side, we drove a little further ahead and looked for a place to pull over.”

After some time, the family found a safe place to pull over.

As soon as the car stopped moving, the snake started slithering towards the windshield causing everyone to the street screaming in the car (of course girls only).

Eventually, Mills’ husband came out of the car and let the snake off the car safely into the side of the road from where he slithered his way into the forest safely. With the snake gone, the family continued their journey back home and was hoping that they would not encounter any such thing again.

Wild Squirrel Spotted Struggling With A Stolen Big Loaf Of Bread

There is a general rule that with enough will, hard work and determination, anyone can achieve their life goals. However, in the case of today, this one determined squirrel got the help from a man who likes to bake bread.

Myron Huntley is a man who lives in the wooded area of Minnesota and his nearest neighbor is almost a mile away from him. He loves to be immersed in and surrounded by nature. He often takes out his camera and records videos and takes photos of birds, animals, and landscapes.

Myron Huntley is also fond of baking bread and this is quite fortunate for a wild squirrel.

Huntley says, “I make my own bread and before it gets stale and hard, I put it out.”

Huntley lately had a quarter loaf of bread which was stale so he naturally put it out. The next thing he put it there, a wild squirrel came out and took it and was last seen dangling with a squirrel on a tree. The squirrel since then had been named as Fat Joe by Huntley.

Huntley said, “After I saw the squirrel come and take the loaf of bread, I ran to my dining room, took out my camera and started recording from the room.”

Fat Joe was dangling on the tree branches with his hind legs while grabbing hold of the bread with occasional nibbles. He was doing as if trying to make the loaf lighter to take it high up above on the tree.

Huntley had seen Fat Joe many times before during his time in the wild but he never saw him this excited.

Huntley said, “I named him Fat Joe because the gray squirrel would always come and chase the red squirrels away from their feeder to steal away their seeds.”

Huntley said, “Fat Joe finally made it back to his home with the bread.”

This Loki and for the previous 3 years, he has been the beloved pet of a man named Nathan Sonoras. Loki was a stray cat but one day as he was roaming the street, he came into the life of Nathan.

Sonoras told media, “He is the sweetest thing ever in my life. He jumps into my laps and loves to cuddle. He is very lovable.”

Nathan would let Loki roam outside as he knew he would always come back.

However, most recently, Nathan came to realize that their time together was short.

One day after Nathan came back home, he found something black near his house. He went close to it to see and to his worst imaginations, it was a black cat lying motionless.

He called his girlfriend on the spot and they spotted it to be Loki with his markings.

He had apparently been hit by a car.

Nathan said, “I was very emotional at that moment. I was crying while yelling, my cat’s dead. It was very heartbreaking for me.”

Loki was no now more in this world or it seemed so.

Nathan with his girlfriend took the body of Loki to a corner in the backyard of their house and buried him there. Nathan said, “We dug a hole near a tree. We cried and shared some great memories of Loki and talked as to how Loki was going to be a free cat running around in heaven. It was our way of saying goodbye.”

However, both of them did not know at the time that this was a premature goodbye.

Next day, Nathan had to wake up early as he had to drive his father to work. Nathan’s parent also knew about Loki and Nathan told his dad the heartbreaking news in the morning.

Nathan told media, “As I was telling my dad about Loki, I heard Loki’s meowing sound. I immediately turned around and there he was standing.”

Nathan jumped back in surprise and shock. Nathan said, “I was still on my call and told my dad that I buried Loki last night but now he is back”.

There was shock but also had joy and relief mixed in as well.

Loki was well and very much alive. Nathan came to a conclusion that Loki was actually never hit by a car and he instead buried a cat similar to Loki’s appearance in the backyard.

Now Loki is back with Nathan and he is thinking to cut Loki’s strolling hours altogether with the traumatizing experience he went through.

A few days ago in Thailand, workers working at an oil rig noticed a dog that was swimming next to the drilling station in water.

Vitisak Payalaw, one of the oil rig workers after seeing the dog, took out his camera to record the moment. According to the Facebook page of Vitisak Payalaw, they saw a dog’s head while he was swimming to their platform. Fortunately for the dog, the day was rather calm and waves were smaller than usual, otherwise, they would not have been able to see the dog at all.

Worker seeing the dogs tried to come up with ways to help the poor dog. However, time was of the essence because the waves were getting larger and larger. They finally came up with a way. They tied the rope around him and pulled him up.

The dog was on the oil rig which was nearly 130 miles away from the shore. It would have been impossible for him to b alive in the water for so long and so far away but he somehow managed to stay alive.

When the dog was clinging to a pipe, was not making any noise as he was clearly exhausted.

Many workers guessed that the dog might have fallen off a fishing boat or had jumped on his own or have suffered from horrible abuse.

The puppy, since his rescue has been given all the necessary minerals and water to recover his health and energy.

Workers took care of the dog on the oil rig for nearly 2 days. To transport him, they build a special cage for him.

He was taken from thee to vets located in Songkhla, the southern part of Thailand to check on his health.

One of the workers on the oil rig also said that he would love to adopt him.

Dog Joins the Temple Chanting with People in a Temple in India in howling noises

Recently an enthusiastic dog has become somewhat of a celebrity in India after he participated in the region’s one of the most important religious ceremonies.

According to the man who captured the footage of the dog, who also happens to be the friend of the dog’s owner; dog after hearing the temple music coming from a nearby temple decided to join in on the singing after hearing it.

And this is just not a onetime thing for this dog.

Sushma Date said, “This devout dog is a dog of my friend’s factory. On every Thursday evening, this dog walks to the nearby temple and joins their keertan.”

Keertan or simply Kirtan is religious style music of Hindu religion which dates back to thousands of years in the past. Although the pup is not aware of the Keertan’s history but something about it really seems to click with him as the dog sits there with other devout and gives out howls after howls

As the other devout people gathered in the temple play their instrument and sing their own chants, they seem to have been accustomed to the dog’s participation in their ritual and some even give the dog encouraging pats on his head.

It is a speculation that one of the things other than music that makes the dog keep coming back is the food. Date wrote on her Twitter account, “after his singing, he gets his share of the Prasad and runs back home.

Prasad is a type of a vegetarian snack that is blessed an after that shared among the other people present on these ceremonies. As for this case, it is shared with people and one special dog.

According to news from Date, the dog keeps coming back to the temple for singing and his share of Prasad every Thursday evening.

Some rules are just meant to be broken, don’t agree with us? Then just ask Molly and her helping brother Marco.

Both of them take no for an answer when it comes to breaking rules.

Molly and her brother Marco were adopted by their mom named Carolyn Warmm when they were puppies a few years back. This was also the time when their mischievous side took hold of them. Among them both, Molly is the most mischievous one and usually takes the lead of every trouble.

Warmm said, “Marco is the one with a soft personality. As for Molly, she is kind of a headstrong girl. As both of them were born together, they do things together and never have been apart.”

Warmm also cannot seem to keep them away from her and this is why she often takes them both with her to the work. As a rule at her workplace, she keeps them at bay from running all around the office inside a fence at her door. While this is the normal course of action in such cases but for Molly, this fence was only a hurdle that she needed to overbore. And she exactly did that and with the help of her brother.

Below is the video of the moment when Molly was helped by Marco is climbing over the fence door.

Despite seeing the pup’s escape, Warmm was only happy and proud to see her pups.

Warmm said, “Seeing them like this, the very first thing that came to my mind was, ‘What an intelligent breed’. I am so happy for Marco; he is such a caring brother to Molly.”

Well, there is no fault of Warmm to be angry at these pups. Just look at these cute little faces.

They say that animals have a keen sense of awareness when it comes to a dangerous situation. This fact is mostly true for the dogs who have proven to be quite capable in such situations. They are not loyal but also one of the most intelligent creatures on the planet. They are excellent pets and prove to be man’s best friend. Since time immemorial, dogs have been made pet thanks to their quick thinking and awareness in dangerous situations. There have been numerous incidents in history when dogs made use of their keen sense of awareness to avert a tragedy that was about to transpire.

A tragedy was averted and it was all thanks to the quick thinking of a dog.

An amazing video has been circulating virally on the internet which shows a small dog who was about to be crushed by a car that was reversing and then the act of heroism from another dog that saved his life. Both the adorable pup and his owner, they were unknown to the fact that the reversing car was about to hit him which could have proven deadly.

However, fortunately, for both of them, there was someone on the scene who noticed the things.

With only a few seconds to spare, a brave Border Collie dog, which realized the coming tragedy rushed in to save the cute pup.

While there are some other additional details about the video, there is no dispute in the amazing awareness of the situation by the Border Collie. The driver was relief that the sudden intrusion from the dog saved her cute pup. Though she really needs to be careful in the future.
