Dog playing in the woods falls accidently into a hole

Meet Zella, who is 16 weeks old and a very playful puppy who loves to play in the backyard of her house which is actually woods. One day, Zella was running behind the woods her owner’s house as her owners also walked closely behind her. Suddenly Zella ran a little far ahead and came close to an old dried up well.

What happened next was devastating for Zella’s owner as she fell straight into the well which was 8 feet deep.

The well was not only deep but also narrow; making an escape for Zella nearly impossible. As for her family, they were also unable to rescue her from the well. The one thing that came to their mind was to call 911 and that they did. Soon after they made the call, the South Killingly Fire Department based in the Danielson, Connecticut responded to the call as soon as they could. The fire department had the expertise for the situation in which Zella was trapped in.

Captain of the South Killingly Fire Department, Joseph Lee told media, “South Killingly Fire Department actually runs a joint rescue team which is consistent of the firefighters which come from other fire departments of the area. These firefighters have been trained in rescues with rope and for confined spaces.”

After the firefighters arrived on the scene, they assessed the situation and then helped one of their own to lower him down the well with the help of a rope.

After carefully grabbing the sacred pup, he called for his guys up on the well to pull him out.

The whole rescue operation was carried out in a professional way with it only taking 1 and a half hour. As for Zella’s family, they were happy that Zella was above on the ground where she is now safe and sound.

Luckily the dog did not suffer any injuries.

No one could make sense as to how a pitbull terrier mix dog ended up from all the way from Florida to Michigan.

However, luckily this pooch was found back in March by the Humane Society of Midland County based in Michigan. The pooch was picked up by the society and the workers there were happy to find that the dog actually had a microchip on her.

The staff called the number on the microchip and the call was answered by a woman who lived in Florida. The woman on the phone told workers that their dog named Blue was missing from home for at least a week and she also had no earthly idea as to how the dog ended up from Florida to all the way in Michigan. The one thing that she said was that she did want her dog back.

Employees were happy to finally locate the dog’s owner and were eager to reunite Blue with her parents. The made a post on Facebook if anyone would be willing to make a drive to the Sunshine State with the 1-year-old Blue. The plea for the society was picked up by the local media and they made an ad for a driver.

The animal care technician working at the Humane Society of Midland County, Logan Smith said to media, “we got tons of replies from locals who were offering their help. The community was more than eager to help and it was an amazing gesture.”

The chauffeur gig was eventually won by the woman named Stephanie James, a resident of Michigan.

James said to media, “the dog needed to go back to her home and I also had a love for Florida. I also love diving so I said to myself, why not?”

James then took some vacation leave from work, had her brother ready, filled the car with gas and drove from her home to shelter to pick up Blue. James said, “the moment I went to pick her up and saw her I said, ‘Oh, my gosh, you are so beautiful’.”

After picking up Blue, the journey started. James said, “I did not know Blue before I picked her up from the shelter. During the whole trip, when she got tired, Blue would rest her head on my shoulder.”

On a 1300 miles long journey which had many gas stops, some fast food joint stops, a stop for a swim at the ocean and a stay at a hotel, the party was finally in South Florida.

After arriving at Blue’s owner’s house, the woman invited them all in. Blue also immediately recognized her owners. James said, “she ran to them and also through the house and it seemed as if everything was all OK. Then she rolled over on her back.”

James added, “After one hour, the owner of Blue came home and blue was clearly excited to see him as she jumped all around her.”

James said that they then discussed as to how Blue needed up in Michigan.

Blue’s family said that often the dog stayed in a kennel at the back of their home and somebody kept taking her from there. They thought the person again took her or she managed to get out of there on her own.

James said, “She is a very smart and wiggly kind of dog. They think that Blue might have made her way to a nearby freeway from where someone would have picked her up.

After having talks with the owners for a bit, James was set to leave when the owners said that it was best if Blue would now stay in Michigan.

James said, “The owner said to me that I work full time and study full time so right now I am not able to keep a dog. You guys seem really nice and Blue also seem to like you. You have clearly taken good care of her. And I was thinking, You Guys could have told me this a long time ago.”

After hearing this, James and her brother took Blue back in their car and drove all the way back to Michigan.

James said, “on the drive back, Blue was looking back at her old home. I said to Blue, it’s gonna be alright Blue, we love you. Seeing her look back at the house from the window, it had me heartbroken. I was like, I cannot be upset like this, and this is the best thing for Blue right now.”

James made the call to Humane Society and told them the whole story and that they are heading back. She also told them that she would like to adopt Blue but James’ own house was filled with many other rescued dogs.

As James was on the way back to Michigan, The Humane Society made another post on Facebook explaining what happened in Florida and that Blue was on her way back to Michigan and would be up for adoption.

As James was driving back to Michigan, she was not aware as to how many people were making inquest about the adoption of Blue for the shelter.

After two hours of James’ return, the man had been chosen to adopt Blue was already at the shelter.

Robert Allison, the man who adopted Blue said, “I had my pitbull down six months ago and I was looking for a new dog. My cousin told me about Blue.”

Robert called the shelter and filled their application.

He got to shelter and adopted Blue the very same day, she returned back home.

Robert later said that Blue has adjusted really with her family, especially his little son.

Earlier this week, James was able to meet with Blue once more.

James said, that Blue clearly remembered her.

James is happy that Blue now finally has a loving forever home. As for her experience, she said, “Honestly I would do that again for any other dog. But I do hope that the next time I do this, the story ends up in a much better situation.

Toby is the name of a rescue dog that was one day found at an auto repair shop after he was likely abandoned by his previous owner. Toby was then taken to a shelter but as it was winter season, the shelter had insufficient resources so Toby had to spend the night and the rest of the winter weather in a kennel, with little to none protection.

Today was luck as he was rescued by the rescue group named Band For Animal. The organization works to save the dogs from the Korean dog meat trade groups and other such dangerous situations. Toby from there was taken to a safe house in South Korea before he was to the US. Tin US he was kept with a foster family who had no clue as to how they would eventually love Toby.

Ann Hoang wanted to have a 2nd dog but her husband was not sure about the idea. So they tired fostering one. That was there plan before adopting a second dog and that’s when Toby came into their lives.

Toby after arriving at the Hoang residence was very sacred. At first, he won’t even come out of his crate. As for his new family, they were patient with Toby and gave him all the love and care he deserved. Soon Toby came to realize the love of his new family and fell in love with them too. He especially fell in love with his foster dad.

Hoang told media, “My husband was not sure about Toby at first but when he sat next to him and looked at him with his puppy dog eyes, he actually saw the kindness of God in his eyes and fell in love with him.”

The plan was to always have Toby as a foster dog but soon Hoang realized that this was not going to be possible for her husband.

Hoang told media, “two families were to meet up with Toby and that’s when I realized that it would crush my husband to lose Toby.”

So Hoang decided that she would officially adopt Toby and surprise her husband. As the rescue group needed someone to come home to make the adoption official. Hoang told her husband that the person was a potential adopter.

She then decided to surprise her husband by asking the woman to give her husband a card during the visit.

As soon as he read it, he went crazy with joy.

Hoang said, “I never saw my husband so much happy that he would start crying.”

Soon everyone was crying and Toby came to his dad and comforted him.

Now Toby is never going to leave his dad’s side as he had made a lasting impression on him and his dad also clearly loves him dearly.

Zero is the name of a 9 years old Labrador Retriever mix dog that is the very definition of being a good boy.

King Cahoon, the mother of Zero told media, “Zero loves to swim and play ball. While he is scared of almost everything, he still is very lovable in nature.”

Due to his gentle and loving nature, it is quite opposite to think of Zero to be a guard dog. However, a few months back, Zero with his amazing guarding skills left his owners speechless when it came the time to truly defend their property.

Zero’s family lives in Utah and a few months back a man tried to snuck into their porch and as no one was watching he lifted up a package that was placed on their doorstep as the whole scene could be seen in the door cam footage. The thief was on his way to the getaway car and that’s when Zero came out of the house all fired up and started to bark frantically at the man to chase him away.

The thief, seeing the dog barking at him was startled and before he could drive away in the car, he dropped the package on the road. As for Zero, after chasing away the thief, he went back to being as if nothing ever happened. He sniffed the ground and then went back inside the house.

While Zero does not think much about his little act of heroism, his mom is very impressed by him. While the package only had 4 dollars worth of an item inside, Zero’s mom is very happy that Zero decided to chase away the thief.

We hope that with Zero’s newfound bravery of being a guard dog, thieves will keep this house off their list in the future.

Harper is the name of a puppy who was adopted by a woman named Erin O’Donnell back in 2017. Ever since he was adopted, Harper had been a playful pup but when she is near new things, it takes her time to get warm up to them.

O’Donnell said, “Harper is a sweetheart but is very anxious especially towards strangers.”

Last week, O’Donnell who works with a music company, left Harper with a trusted dog walker and a few of her friends living in Brooklyn. Harper along with the dog walker was out for a stroll when suddenly a cab struck a stop sign. Although both Harper and dog walker was Ok, the poor dog got startled and started running and running until she was near the East River in NYC. Reaching there she never stopped and jumped straight into the water.

Harper, who was clearly in fear, started swimming ferociously. Onlookers thought that the dog’s owner was nearby and the dog was only taking a swim but they soon came to an understanding that this was not the case.

A man named Gabe Castellanos wrote on his Instagram page, “I was at the Brooklyn Barge with friends celebrating my Birthday when we thought we saw dog taking a swim. We assumed that the owner of the dog was at the nearby shore keeping a watchful eye on the pup. However, suddenly someone came running from the north side of the barge screaming Harper had run away.”

It was then when everyone on the spot started noticing that Harper had started t lose her swimming speed. The river was cold that day and now Harper was also in a panicked state with her energy started to deplete. Gabe Castellanos, at that time, realized that he needs to do something.

Castellanos was a graduate of the SUNY Maritime College and had a lot of experience when it comes to survival skills. He decided that he was going in the water.

Castellanos told media, “Since Harper showed no signs of making it back to the shore I knew in my heart that something was needed to be done soon. I looked around for a floating device and I saw a life vest and I grabbed it.”

By the point Castellanos decided to jump in a crowd of nearly 300 people was gathered on the Barge who were all hoping for Harper’s safety. As soon as the crowd saw Castellanos and what he was about to do, everyone there started to cheer him for encouragement. A Brooklyn based filmmaker and an artist named Lorenzo Fonda was also on the barge and as soon as he saw Castellanos and what he was about to do, he took out his camera and started capturing the whole scene.

Castellanos knew that the water was cold that day and the conditions for swimming were less than ideal. Still, he made a strategy quickly and prepared for his jump into the water. He quickly took off his clothes down to just his underwear and climbed up on the rails. After that, he lowered himself as low on the rails as he could and then he let go and dived into the water.

Castellanos said, “When I dived into the water, I heard a loud cheer from the crowd. After that my focus was no longer on the crowd and their cheers. My only focus from that point on was at breathing properly and swimming towards Harper. As I swam, the crowd went totally quiet. I think they were cheering for me but I could not hear them as I could only hear the sound of water.”

As for Harper, she was still swimming and Castellanos had to work really hard to catch up to her. As soon as Harper realized that someone was swimming towards her, she became even more frightened and panicked. She started to swim away from Castellanos with all her might.

However, Castellanos was persistent in his effort to save Harper. When he got near Harper, she lashed at him out of fear and struggled really hard when he caught her. However, he remained totally calm as he grabbed hold of Harper.

Finally, Castellanos was able to save Harper.

As soon as Castellanos had Harper in his hands, cheers broke out from the crowd again. As for Castellanos, he quickly swam back to the shore. Both Castellanos and Harper were exhausted by then and were in need of medical attention. Luckily, both of them were completely fine and are recovering back to health in their homes.

As for O’Donnell, she was in the middle of a performance and only learned about Harper’s little river swim and about the man who saved her when she got back home.

O’Donnell said, “Her paws are in bad shape, so she needs to wear trendy boots to help her recover for a few weeks.”

Castellanos was an innocent onlooker that day. He did not have to jump and risk his life to save Harper but he did all that to save an innocent life. And this makes him a true hero.

Each one of us needs at least one friend in life who knows us well and remains by our side through every thick and thin that life has to offer.

For a kid named Jayden Denton, he was lucky enough to find one such friend in a gray colored cat known as Kitty.

Jayden is a boy with special needs who is also prone to feeling overwhelmed at certain times. These overwhelming moments often leads to him having sensory meltdowns. Sometimes these meltdowns actually make the life of his family members a little difficult.

Tonya Denton, Jayden’s mom told media, “My son suffers from Sensory processing disorder as well as other issues. When he does not understand something, he starts to have an outburst of crying along with being inconsolable.”

However, this was until he met with Kitty.

While Kitty appears to be a normal cat most of the time, Jayden’s mom found about a whole new side of Kitty.

As it turns out to be, Kitty was exactly the thing that Jayden needed in his life. Instead of being afraid like a normal pet would be of Jayden’s meltdown sessions, Kitty is quite opposite.

Tonya said, “We started noticing that Kitty would start running towards Jayden whenever he had a meltdown. During these meltdowns, Kitty would start licking Jayden’s head until he would calm down. In his longtime of medical history, this has been the only way to calm down Jayden”.

One of these incredible moments when Kitty clams Jayden during his meltdown has been caught by Tonya in the video below.

Tonya said, “This cat has changed everything for us. It’s like it was meant to be.”

The presence of Kitty is not only helpful in Jayden’s meltdown session; it has also allowed him to be a little calm in the world in which he feels isolated.

Tonya said, “Kitty makes my son happy and it seems as if they both understand each other.”

The father of Jasey Jentsch for 12 long years shared an adorable and cute bond with their family dog named Bruce. Bruce was a Boston terrier dog who was surrendered as a pup by his previous owner to a dog shelter.

While at first the father of Jasey Jentsch was a little skeptical about adopting the dog, all of that changed quickly.

Jasey Jentsch told media, “Bruce instantly became my dad’s best bud. Both of them would sit and relax down on the recliner on each Saturday morning and would watch TV all day long.”

They became somewhat of an inseparable pair for each other.

Bruce, who had been always a playful adorable pup, time ultimately took its toll on him. Two years ago, Bruce actually lost his sight due to old age but that brought Bruce and Jasey Jentsch’s father close to each other more.

Jentsch told media, “Bruce would trust my dad no matter what.”

Sadly for Bruce and his loving owner, Bruce peacefully passed away at the family home but he left a hole in his family’s heart.

Jentsch said, “Bruce’s death hit my dad really hard.”

In the effort to lessen her husband’s sorrow, Jentsch’s mother came up with an idea. She had heard about a company that made custom pillows that also featured images for not only people but also of pets. So she decided to order a pillow with Bruce’s face on it for her husband.

Below is the video of the moment when Jentsch’s father opened the surprise gift.

Seeing the face on the pillow, Jentsch’s father instantly broke down to tears and he seemed as if he was seeing Bruce once more.

Jentsch said, “Seeing the Bruce faced pillow, he was very happy. My dad is actually the strong one in our home and seeing him cry showed us as to what Bruce really meant to him.”

While nothing in the world can bring Bruce back, the present of Bruce faced pillow is the next best thing for Jentsch’s father.

A person living in Anson County, North Carolina was walking one day when he spotted a green bin that was sitting on the side of the woods. Curiosity got the better of them and they decided to look as to what was in this bin. When they peeked inside the bin, they were horrified to their core as they found five little puppies left abandoned in that bin.

The puppies were all too young and small to be able to climb out of the bin on their own. It meant that someone had deliberately placed them in the bin to left out there to die. Puppies were trapped in that bin on a day that had a 90-degrees scorching temperature. If the puppies have been left there for a little longer, they might have not made it on their own.

The man with the heart of gold 2qucikly got the crate along with the puppies to his house where he gave them food and water. The man quickly called the Rescue Dogs Rock NYC’s vet partner located in South Carolina.

Co-founder of Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, Jackie O’Sullivan told media, “All of these puppies were weak and severely dehydrated. They also had a strange smell emanating from them. One of them was not doing so well as compared to the others. However, after giving them plenty of fluids, all 5 of them are now doing just fine.”

Puppies have been determined to be 6 weeks old and have been named as Sullivan, Snoopy, Sanders, Simon, and Sassafrass. The puppies after getting proper treatment are now doing just fine and are started signs of growing up. As for everyone at the rescue center, they are thankful to the Good Samaritan who helped these puppies.

O’Sullivan said, “These puppies were lucky to be found just in time.”

These puppies will still need a lot of time before they are ready for adoption. However, people are now welcome to apply for adoption.

As it happens to be two of the seagulls in London have become somewhat of internet celebrities to make boring traffic reports a little extra fun. The audience on the Twitter account of the Transport for London (TfL) which works to keep the residents of London updated on the problems of the road has become suddenly doubled after two new reporters started making appearances over one of their traffic cams.

This Seagull pair is now the main highlight for the twitter feed of the TFL account and people certainly seem to like seeing them on these cams. Many people took this as a chance to dish out some bird-related puns on Twitter like ‘Fowl Traffic’ and ‘Beak Careful drivers’. Some people have gone even further by saying that one of these seagulls might actually be running for the position of the Mayor of London in the next elections. The bird duo which has been seen wandering near the Blackwall Tunnel in Poplar located in the east London has become so influential and famous that some people have even gone on to give these 2 seagulls there own Twitter account.

First of these 2 new reporters showed up on traffic cam on April’s last Monday.

People started joking around like that this bird has some great attitude. The tweet of this seagull went on to gather almost 15000 likes in one afternoon.

Soon the seagull, who became a social media hit, came back.

The Transport For London tweeted the picture with the caption “Guess Who’s Back?”

Later that very same day, due to popular mead of the audience, the bird made a reappearance and seemed to be talking directly on the camera.

Soon after, the first seagull was joined in by another seagull. People have named these 2 as Graeme and Steve.

TFL tweeted 2 other pictures of the seagull with the caption “Good afternoon from our favorite traffic reporter!”

Achi is the name of a very affectionate and loving cat who loves to spend its time cuddling with its owner named, Lomphonten Lomphontan who lives in Thailand.

However, the shock that Lomphonten received was that the most adorable cuddle session he has is when he is asleep.

A while ago, Lomphonten decided to set up one hidden camera in his house for keeping tabs on Achi when he was at work. For Lomphonten, the most amazing result of this camera came out when he one night decided to turn towards his bed to see what the cat was doing while he was asleep.

Achi, as it turns out to be, was making himself quite comfortable.

Watching the video, Lomphonten notices that as soon as he falls asleep, Achi gets into action mode. He not only takes this opportunity to snuggle by Lomphonten’s side but to indulge itself even more.

Lomphonten decided to keep the camera on for few nights and he was amazed to see that every night Achi would climb on top of his chest and confirm with his paw whether his owner is seeping or not.

After that, he drops his body on Lomphonten face directly.

The thing that had been happening is that Achi had been choking his owner with his love.

Lomphonten never allowed Achi for these in-his face type of snuggles but after seeing the footage he got aware of the Achi’s ritual at night and his own condition he had been experiencing. All of his suffocating dreams started to make sense.

Lomphonten said, “I sat and watched the footage one night. It was pretty funny.”

Despite being found out by his owner, Achi is hardly apologetic about his behavior and that is still fine with his owner.

Lomphonten said, “I now even feel more love towards him because he loves me like this.”

For Achi, it’s just a show of love.

One heartbreaking scene happened outside a home located in San Antonio, Texas which nobody was there to see expect a doorbell security camera.

A spokesperson for Animal Care Services named Lisa Norwood said to media, “Anyone can clearly see in the video that the little dog in the video seems like she is going for a walk with her owner.”

The woman who was walking this brindle pitbull dog stopped outside of a suburban house. She then proceeds to spread a plastic bag with kibble on it. The dog sits down patiently and allows her owner to tie her leash to the metal pole of the basketball hoop. The dog can be seen wagging her tail in excitement.

However, as soon as the woman starts to walk away, the dog that was happy go lucky a moment ago turns anxious.

Norwood said, “Dog’s happiness turned into confusion and then to fear as her owner started walking away. She does not seem to be aware that she was being abandoned. She tries to go after her and you can see her legs get tangled up in the leash.”

The dog tires again and again to follow her owner but her efforts are halted dead in their tracks due to the leash.

As for the homeowner, he had been out to run for a few errands and when he came back home he found out this dog frightened and cowering in his yard. There was not even a note left as to why this dog had been abandoned.

The dog since then had been taken in by the Animal Care Services shelter and had been named as Takis. There she has become an instant favorite of everyone.

Norwood said, “Takis is a sweet and playful little dog. She even knows how to sit and walks even well on a leash. We are still trying to figure out as to why someone would do something like this to her.”

Norwood further said, “it was not more than 24 hours that somebody came in the shelter and saw Takis and filled out an adoption form for her.”

Jason Minson is a retired army veteran who runs a job of landscaping business in the region of Norfolk, Virginia.

Earlier this week on Tuesday, he came upon one of the unusual things.

Minson was checking a tree in the yard when he heard a bang coming from the street.

He went out to check and realized that another car passing by bumped another car. If that did not happen, Minson would have never known what was inside the other car.

When Minson looked inside the car, he saw a Labrador puppy lying on the floor of the car and the noise and the shudder caused by the car bumping had woken it up.

The dog was panting heavily.

Minson, seeing the condition of the puppy called 911.

The police dispatched their unit to help the dog but they also told Minson that to break the car’s window and free the dog is a crime in the area.

Minson was watching the puppy panting from behind the window. He brought a bottle of water and brought it near the silver of the window. Seeing the water, puppy jumped up on the seat and started drinking from it instantly.

The dog drank the whole bottle and then drank another one.

Minson said, “I quite a cool-headed person but by that time I was pretty fed up”.

Soon an animal control officer came on the scene and tried to open the car’s door but she could not do it. After 20 minutes of Minson finding the dog, he was worried that they might be out of time.

The dog laid down on the car’s floor and was not panting heavily anymore.

Minson said, “I thought that the dog was not going to make it.”

This is when he took matters in his own hands and using the baton from the animal control, he smashed the window and opened the car door.

The animal control officer took the dog to the vet and as for the owner of the dog; he was charged by the police. Minson also received a call but to be a witness of the incident.

Minson then went the other day at a facility where the dog as getting the treatment.

Minson, who also has a Great Dane says that if anyone saw his dog in such a condition, they would do the same thing.

Last week a woman named Sheekilah Jones was waiting for her bus to go to work when she started hearing a sound reverberating through the early morning quiet streets. The sound coming got curious because she could not find the source of the sound.

Jones told media, “I heard the knocking and but there was no one around who could be making that noise.”

Jones started to look all around her and then suddenly Jones saw one of the most bizarre yet amazing things of her life.

A black cat was all perched on top of a door’s handrail. It soon became clear as to why the cat was sitting there.

Jones knew it hat this cat had something to do with the sound., and to her surprise, the cat extended his paw and reached up to the door’s knocker just like a human would and started knocking it just like a human as if saying to let him be inside, kindly.

Jones said, “I could literally not believe what I was seeing even after watching it.”

Seeing as to how rare this sight was, she took out her phone and started recording it. She knew that no one would believe her if she simply told them about it.

Jones wrote, “I was tempted to go and knock a bit harder for the cat but by then my bus had already arrived. So still in shock, I got on the bus.”

Jones posted the video on her Twitter account and since then has been viewed by millions in just a week.
