A kind man named Nelson Wilson was in the stable of his house feeding his horses when he suddenly came across a frozen Finch on the fence of his home. Nelson told media that, “I was feeding my horses on the New Year’s morning when I suddenly saw a solidarity sparrow all perched up on the steel fence spread across my house near the water tank. It was not an uncommon sight at first because birds used to drink from the heated water tank all the times. However, unfortunately for this little guy, he got his feet wet and they got frozen on the steel fence making it impossible for him to fly away. I don’t know for how much time had he been stuck on to that fence in the near-zero Idaho temperatures”.
Wilson further said, “After deciding to save the little fellow I first wrapped my hands around the clod body and feet of the little bird. I pressed both my palms against the fence and the bird’s feet while it was gently trying to flap its wings. Then I suddenly thought that warming it with my breath would be the most appropriate solution to save it.”
The plan was spot on and it certainly worked. He made the gentle motion of his thumb sideways and brought freedom for the little Finch and a smile of stratification on his saviors face.
Wilson lastly said, “This was a delightful way to start off my New Year” and we certainly do agree with Wilson’s thoughts and actions.
