A dog was rescued back in January of 2018 and the rescuers named him Frodo. The reason for his name is that his coat still looks little curly just like the hair of Lord of the Rings character Frodo Baggins. Frodo before being rescued appeared to be a repulsive Gollum.
Frodo’s rescuer found him starving and wandering near the slums of Croatia. The tiny pup was heavily covered with mange and his eyes were under the infectious attack. Some even claim that Frodo at that time looked like a little devil pup. Nonetheless, his rescuer took him to the nearest vet clinic where the vet Kaludija Sigurnjak treated him.
Kaludija told reporters from media that, ‘I was stunned to see him. I was shocked and could hardly believe as if it was a real dog or not. I immediately started to preserve his health”.
Kaludija gained the pup’s trust by giving him food and afterward showed him with all her care that set this dog on a new path of life. She further told the reporter that, “at first it seemed to be an impossible task. His fur was filled with ticks and fleas while being starved to near death. We were unsure if he will survive or not.”
Even if Frodo’s right eye could not be saved, he still ended up being a fighter. Now Frodo together with his spirit and fur has regrown. Kaludija said that His transformation was amazing. We did not have an idea that he was this beautiful.
After recovery, Frodo was put up for adoption and soon got a new family.
