Tom the Terrible Turkey:-
Tom, The turkey was adopted by Jonathan and Linda Harr back in 2006 in a little town in Massachusetts when they found him injured, they initially never did adopted him as a pet and only treated and fed him. After gaining health back Tom started to hang around the house of his own accord. Jonathan and Linda fall in love with this turkey but their neighbor hated the guts of Tom as he was the worst turkey bird ever.
Tom would regularly attack other people. He would often trap his victims in their cars and roamed around their vehicles, daring them to step out. In worst cases he would gather a mob of mad turkey and acting as their boss, they would surround unsuspecting people and attack hem. One neighbor complained to police and when police men arrived, Tom instead of being afraid attacked the cops. One cop jumped on his car while the other one took out his pistol and shot the turkey dead.
The Battle of the Backyard Cranes:-
An elderly woman at Florida, had bird feeders on her property. A flock of cranes discovered this place and mode themselves at home in Mrs. Gibbs backyard. Mrs. Gibbs husband had Alzheimer’s disease at that time and was not bothered by world. Whenever these majestic cranes came into their backyard and started their battle, his mind would come back a little and he would often seen smiling and excited.
The Anger Management Parrot:-
Jim Eggers suffered from bipolar disorder along with psychotic tendencies. Jim threatened to kill the local Archbishop in the days of Catholic Church’s sex scandal.
Jim, in the same year of 2005 when he threatened archbishop, rescued an African Gray parrot named Sadie. Jim being a huge animal lover not only rescued but also treated the parrot that was in bad shape and near to death.
Jim during his bouts of anger would often walk about his apartment floors saying “Calm down Jim, its okay Jim, You’re all right Jim”. Sadie picked up on these words and also started squawking them. To Jim Sadie’s words felt soothing and soon all the time when Jim is in anger Sadie who is right beside him would start squawking “its okay Jim”.
The Real Birdman of Alcatraz:-
Robert Stroud was known as the Birdman of Alcatraz. Stroud was in for a murder. In 1916 he murdered a guard with a shank and was sentenced to a life sentence without a parole. One day while exercising, Stroud found an injured sparrow and nursed it back to health. Officials finally happy that he got a new hobby instead of stabbing other people agreed to his request of opening a bird ab. Stroud not only sated his own bird business but also published a book called Digest of the Diseases of the Birds with cures and illustrations as well.
