Meet Brady Snakovsky a 9 years old kid who was pone day watching a police dog show and notice that none of the K-9 units was wearing any protective police vests.
One day a kid named Brady Snakovsky Who is only 9 years old and is living in the town of Strongsville, Ohio, was watching the live PD documentary on TV about the police officer. It was then he noticed that none of the K9 units on the show was wearing any bulletproof vest. While some dogs of the police department get the vests there is a strong chance that they might not get one altogether. This makes these K9 dogs a vulnerable target during a hostile situation.
There and then Brady Snakovsky decided that he will be donating money for the K9 unit’s vests.
This is when he decided that something need to be done about it fast. He wanted to donate a bulletproof vest to the police dog that was in need of one. But these vests come at a high price which is 1200 dollars apiece. Still, Brady was not discouraged by this setback. He then started selling cookies and did everything to raise this money. He even started a GoFundMe page that allowed him to raise enough money for buying 4 vests.
He was not scared by that massive tag of 1200 dollars per vest and then crowdfunded for buying and donating 4 of these vests.
Then Brady did not stop with 4 vests and with help of his mother opened an NGO by the name Brady’s K9 Fund for providing vests to the police’s K9 units. Their GoFundMe page since then has raised about 95000 dollars.
Brady and his mom founded the Brady’s K9 Fund that raised 95000 dollars for buying the bulletproof vests for the K9 dogs.
The Brady’s K9 Fund has allowed the military to show interest in the protection of their dogs as well. A US Army MWD by the named Vito, which has served tours in Afghanistan and Egypt, was also given a bulletproof vest to allow him to be safe for his future missions.
Vito, a US Military’s K9 dog also received a bulletproof vest from Brady’s K9 Fund which he will now wear for his upcoming missions in Afghanistan.
As for Brady, he has now won the ASPCA Kid Of the Year 2019 Award for his noble effort to keep police dogs safe.
