Plumbers rescued a dog left to die with a taped mouth and legs; now he can’t stop wiggling his tail after being rescued

0

For plumber Carlos Carillo and his friend this was just another typical commute to work but while passing through a ditch, he and his friends saw something horrible in a ditch of the country road.

Carillo who is the employee of the Shoreline Plumbing in Texas told media, “We did not realize that he was a dog at first. We reversed him and saw his face. The mouth of the dog was taped shut and as for his legs, they were tied with a tube. He was clearly left there like this to die.”

Carillo and his friends rushed to cut the dog free and then he seemed Ok. According to Carillo, “The dog after being removed from restraints was very loving and liked the attention from all of us. He was probably tied and left there for a day”.

The plumbers took the dog in their truck to the local Peewee Pet Adoption Centre that had the no-kill policy.

Carillo wrote on his Facebook page, “Look at that face. He knows he was saved.”

The dog despite all this horrible experience was healthy except for some heartworms and he has been treated for it.

One of the spokespeople at the shelter told media, “His tail won’t stop wagging. He is such a sweetheart”.

Although the person who selfishly left the dog tied like this to die has not been found, thanks to these plumbers, this dog has now got a second chance at life. Now he is up for adoption and waiting for his forever family.

Photographer portrays the beauty of rescued black market animals in majestic photographs

After being sold in black markets animals not only lose their freedom but sometimes their lives as well. To help raise the awareness among people about the threats of black market animals, a California based sanctuary has teamed up with a Los Angeles based photographer. The photographs not only raise awareness for these animals but also portray their majestic beauty in photographs. The animals in the photographs are some of the lucky ones which the sanctuary has managed to save from the heinous act of captivity.

This photoshoot portrays the animals in their “Wild” look.

The photoshoot has been given the name ‘Where the Wild Things Are”. This photoshoot is the combined collaboration of the animal sanctuary called Animal Tracks and the photographer Natasha Wilson of De Anastacia Photography. The photoshoot presents many exotic animals that were up for sale as pets in the black market of California. The black market was selling a Serval, South American Capuchin monkeys, and even the Australian kangaroo.

These magnificent creatures after their rescue are now being portrayed as models wearing colored coordinated outfits and nature-inspired backgrounds to remind people of the natural habitats of these animals.

Despite suffering the horrors of being plucked away from their natural habitats and then sold in captivity, these animals after their rescue seem to be completely calm and dignified in this photoshoot.

Now take a walk for yourself on the Wild Side to have a look at the majesty of these animals.

Emily is the name of a 17 years old teen girl who runs a rescue for small animals. The name of her shelter is “Happy Hammie Haven”. The rescue shelter is currently the home for over sixty animals. They are as follows.

  • 45 hamsters
  • 1 Gerbil
  • 11 bunnies
  • 2 rats
  • 1 mouse
  • 5 Guinea Pigs
  • 1 Chinchilla
  • 1 Hedgehog

Majority of these animals have been rescued as pets from negligent and abusive owners while some of them have simply been given off to the shelter as these owners found it hard to raise them due to moving or hitting bad financial times.

Couple rescued A “Bottle Fed Calf” But Now He’s Acts like a Puppy

Three years ago a man named Michael homes was going through Facebook when he suddenly came across an extraordinary ad relating to a “Bottle Fed Calf”. The ad was for some homeowner who was selling this doe-eyed baby calf along with his rusty golf club and outdated appliances like garbage. The man was sad heartened by thinking about the upcoming disturbing fate of this baby calf. The sellers were asking for three hundred dollars but Michael offered six hundred dollars if the owners could bring him to his house personally.

Michael and his wife did not know anything about cows but that did not bother them because their house was already a place for rescued horses, stray dogs and kittens and one little addition to their barn did not mean much to them.

The named this calf as “Bobo” and ever since he arrived in their life he is kept by the couple as a puppy. Many people including their vet advised them to treat him like a cow and build a stock for keeping him but they never really took their advice seriously.

Now the calf being grown in size still acts like a dog, ho needs his belly brushed from time to time and wants the couple to play with him all the time. He is allowed to roam around the barn. The owner only needs to say, “Bobo it’s time for bed and he would turn around and go to his bedroom”.

Now “Bobo McCowlister” is not only a bottle fed calf but also a social media celebrity who is happy to make new friends.

Southwest Airlines help rescue pets from the Hurricane Harvey disaster in Houston

Southwest Airlines presented one of the biblical scenes back in September of 2017 when the Hurricane Harvey devastated Texas. The scene we are mentioning here is the story of Noah and Ark. You ask how Southwest Airlines depicted that story. Well, let us tell you in detail.

After the disaster struck Texas in form of Hurricane Harvey it led to massive foods that nearly downed whole of Houston city. As a result of this flood, many pets were left orphaned.

Animal shelters at that time in the whole of the Texas state were filled to capacity leaving many pets helpless and homeless. Then came the hero of these orphaned pets; Southwest Airlines. They along with many rescue groups helped in the escape of many orphaned animals from floods which also helped ease the burden of shelters.

The airlines decided to fly these pets from Houston all the way to California to the ‘Helen Woodward Animal Center’ located in San Diego, California. Many pet dog and cats were already habituated in shelters across Texas by a rescue group “Operations Pet Alive” before the storm hit Texas. However now they were on brink of facing a terrible fate.

At this time Woodward Center and Southwest Airlines helped to relocate these animals in a joint operation. Their joint efforts allowed Operations Pets Alive organization to save other orphaned pets in Houston after the city began to recover from the after-effects of the disaster.

Numerous volunteers helped the organization to board these animals housed in special crates aboard a specially converted plane cabin which will allow them to have a chance of new life in California.

Many people in California appreciated these kind gestures of airlines and the animal organizations and adopted a bunch of these pet dog and cats as their own. Many of these sheltered animals still need new owners so you can check with the local shelters to ease up the burden of these shelters.

Gingy Mou, the rescued dog from Zambia, makes it to Barcelona after one year of Traveling through Africa

0

Gingy Mou is a dog from Zambia that was born in a bush and was a border dog for the borehole company. The place was not at all good for her because her sister already had been beaten to death there. Gingy was sacred all the time.

The rescuer of this dog was traveling through Africa and when she saw her pitiable condition they were just sad-hearted and decided to rescue her.

So on 24th April 2017, she took her away from that place for good.

In just one day, she from being a stray Zambian dog was a world traveler. She was a first much scared of her rescuers but with time she started to trust them.

The rescuer of Ginger nickname Gingy Mou is a woman w is a member of a community group named “Nomad Dog”.

She told media that, “I still cannot believe that she was a security dog but a dog who never barks out of sheer mental scars she had to endure there. She is a dog who just wanted love and I am undoubtedly very happy to be the one to make difference in her life.”

Ginger is now a world traveler who has been to many countries like Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Zambia.

During their journeys, people often asked Ginger’s rescuer as to what she will do when she leaves Africa? She was going to return to Barcelona and she still could not find her a good home. So then she decided to bring her back home to Barcelona.

Sadly she had to pace her in a crate on a 30 hours long flight but they still made it safely after one year back to Barcelona, Spain.

They spent Christmas together with her rescuer’s family.

Now they have traveled all over the Barcelona too and Ginger is clearly happy to travel alongside her rescuer. The testament to her happiness is the smile that she has not stopped once.

Roo; a puppy rescued from Hong Kong’s puppy mill in a very bad state, now her life is turned around completely

The puppy named Roo was rescued by a Hong Kong native named Felix L. the puppy was rescued by Felix from a puppy mill located in Hong Kong. The puppy ill was breeding her to breed even smaller puppies.

As a result of poor living conditions for the animals, the puppy got its left ear infected petty badly. The rescuer of Roo thought that the people at the mill probably branded her with some infected material and that caused her infection to set in and worsen without any proper care.

After she was rescued and liberated from the puppy mill, Roo was taken straight to a vet. The vet after initial diagnosis had to cut off her left ear. It was there that the rescuer of Roo came to know about that she was also missing teeth.

After a full rehabilitation and without her left ear and her teeth, she is still a happy and good looking puppy with her own signature look. Can you spot her signature look in the pictures down below?

Roo is also now a traveler and goes everywhere with her daddy. See the pictures of their adventures down below.

American non-profit rescue shelter, ‘Vietnam Animal Aid and Rescue’ member saves a pig from butcher and he is now living a good life

A member of the Vietnam Animal Aid and Rescue Shelter; n American nonprofit rescue shelter member named Catherine Besch rescued a pig from a Vietnamese butcher back in 2014.

The name of the pig, which is of course given to him by his rescuer is Master Julian.

The story goes on, Julian was one morning transferred along with his two siblings to a butcher farm where they were raised to be meat in Hoi An, Vietnam. The rescuer Catherine Besch took one of these three piglets out of the basket and that was Master Julian.

According to Catherine Besch herself, when she took him out, people were laughing at her for buying a tiny piglet. She told them that I am not buying it to eat, I am vegan. Of course after hearing that they laughed even more at her. She did not mind to them and took him out of the place. Sadly she was not able to take all three little piglets home.

From there on, the two were inseparable. They seeped together in the same bed. Then as he grown in size, she builds him his own barn which he later shared with other rescued pigs.

According to Catherine Besch, Julian is a bit stubborn than any other pigs she rescued and raised over the years. He would scream loudly in protest of taking a bath. She also nicknamed Julian as “Ju-Bear”.

Still despite being a 250-kilo heavy toddler, Julian is really a kind soul. He is best friends with the rescued cat and a senior Chihuahua.

Now this one of a kind shelter in Vietnam is being closed down due to lack of funding. Catherine Besch and her rescued animals are now planning to move to Europe where she hopes to find a good and safe life for these rescued souls. This is certainly going to be a historical and first time when pigs will fly away from Vietnam. With this travel, the phrase “pigs Flying’ will literally come true.

Photographer Dean Hurt was told to watch out for this dog when I was photographing him at a rescue. Instead she adopted him

A little something about the woman who adopted a dog instead of being careful from him. The name of this woman is Dean Hurt who is a pet photographer by profession. She operates her business in Colorado under the name StinkDog Studios.

Her work is to mainly photograph the dogs that are up for adoption. One time she was called to a rescue shelter where she had to do a photoshoot for a black Pit Bull and Chow mix. When she was taking the photographs, the handler of the dog said to her to be careful around this dog. According to Dena Hurt, he said,

“You better back up, I am not so sure about this one”.

Dena after hearing this advice looked at the dog with another look and according to her, she did not get that dangerous vibe from him. He only seemed a little nervous to her. She told media I said to myself, “Will he be kind to me?”

After one month Dena and her husband were planning to adopt a dog of their own and then she suddenly remembered him. They went to the shelter and to her happiness he was still not adopted.

Dena and her husband adopted the dog and named him “Boo-Radley”. They got the dog adopted and brought him home that very night to see if he as a good fit for their family.

According to Dena to her amazement, as soon as the dog was out of the shelter, he turned into a real goofball and a squishy loveable dog. The very next morning couple filled out the adoption forms.

Now, boo-Radley is not only a part of their family but he is also a great model of Dena. He is super easy to teach new skills and will do anything for a slice of cheese. The dog is not the one to watch out because he is dangerous but because he is hilarious.  Check out some of the amazing clicks of this super cute hilarious dog for yourself.

Tragic story of common household Ingredient “Xylitol, an artificial sweetener” Which could kill your Dog

0

Recently a dog owner has spoken out to the public through media forums about a heartbreaking incident related to her dog’s death. The dog died after it found a food containing the artificial sweetener that led to its death.

dog owner

Kate Chacksfield told the media as how her pet dog named “Ruby” died after she found herself the home-baked brownies that had the sugar alternate “Xylitol” for sweetness added in them.

pet dog

Mrs. Chacksfield suffers from a disease called myalgic encephalomyelitis (M.E.) or more commonly known as “Chronic Fatigue Syndrome”. As a precautionary measure for the disease, she is forced to use the Artificial Sweetener in her foods instead of regular sugar. The artificial sweetener which she uses is known as Xylitol. The substance may be not harmful for humans but it is definitely lethal for dogs.

She told media, “When I was recovering from my ailments as I have been ill for several years, I was told by my doctors to replace sugar with artificial sweeteners. The recommended some great products like ‘Xylitol’ and ‘Stevia leaf’ to me”.

Stevia leaf

She further stated, “Xylitol is a perfect substance for a sugar alternative and is not harmful for humans at all. The thing I did not know was that it was harmful and lethal to dogs, and I am certain hat many people who are using it, also don’t know about it.”

She told media that after 36 hours of consumption, Ruby started to throw up violently and collapsed on the floor. She took her to vet carrying her in her arms. According to her, vets tried their best to save her. Unfortunately, doctors were under the impression that Ruby had ingested Warfarin; a pest control which she could have picked up in a park.

injured dog

She was transferred to the Royal Veterinary College but ultimately she succumbed to the poisoning and died after nine days at the age of seven years.

Dr Nicola Robinson, a veterinary surgeon who runs the Animal Poison Line said to media that if such cases occur, owners have a high chance to save their dogs if they act promptly.

According to doctor, sugar-free gums also contain Xylitol up to 70 percent. They are easily accessible by pet dogs and dogs also love these very much. According to doctor, a single piece of sugar-free gum containing Xylitol can be lethal to dogs.

here is an interview of Ms. Chacksfield as she talked to the media sources.
