Today let us introduce you to Hema; the rescued pit-bull dog with a rough past who is now obsessed with raising foster kittens. The dog’s owner Marissa Clingen told media that, “All Hema wants to do with these kittens is to lick and snuffle them. I never had even though in my wildest imaginations that a D.C. rescued pit bull with scars on her face and body would be such a good mother to the kittens”.
Hema’s story starts a few years back when she landed at the Humane Rescue Alliance in Washington, D.C. Alix Tolley; the Spokesperson to the shelter said to media, “Hema was found as a stray dog but she had scars of bite marks all over her body”.
Considering the rough start of Hema’s life, she is one of the most loving doggies at the shelter. This might be the reason as to why her new owner Clingen immediately adopted Hema. Clingen one day came to the shelter and fell in love with Hema at first sight and soon took her home as her n family.
Clingen herself volunteers at a kitten foster but she herself was surprised to see the love of Hema for the foster kittens. Clingen said to her interviewers that, “We hope that all the attention which Hema gives to the kittens will encourage more people to adopt animals from the shelter.”
