Nicole is a German woman who always dreamt about having a cat. However, she never dreamt that one day the fate would be so kind as to bring not one but two cats right at her doorstep (figuratively speaking).
Nicole was visiting a local farm in suburban Germany when she came accidentally upon two little kittens, hiding in the corner of a barn all sacred. At that time, both these cats were only 4 months old. Seeing their extremely bad condition, Nicole knew that they desperately need her help as well as some proper medical attention. She was sure that if she leaves them there, they would not survive.
Nicole told media, “both of them were in devastating condition as they had mites and infection in their ears. It left me so heartbreaking that I decided to pick them up and bring them home. Both of them were extremely beautiful with their black and white fur coats. What made them special were their warm personalities.” This is the reason that Nicole named them as “Elli and Rosie”. With lots of love and care from their rescuer, these cat sisters have been fully nursed back to health. They are now two strong, healthy and lively cats.
From the very first day, Elli was very much different from other cats. She never shied from sharing her honest affection and her extremely cuddly nature to Nicole. Nicole said, “She was very playful and acted more like a dog than a cat.”
After 9 months, Nicole one day noticed a black patch on Elli’s fur coat. Nicole told, “it was not here in the start. I thought it was lint and tried to remove it but it was actually Elli’s fur.”
After that, more and more patches of such appearance started to appear on Elli’s fur. Nicole was sacred and took Elli to a vet to find the cause of these markings.

The vet calmed Nicole own and told her that this was a rare fur condition named “Vitiligo” which results in fur losing its pigments. Even about 0.5 to 2 percent of human population suffers from this rare skin condition but it’s much uncommon in animals.
The condition did not cause any real harm to Elli’s health. Instead it gave her some unique features that only added to her already immense adorableness.
Nicole says, “She looks like a little snow owl. She is so cue and her fur is changing every day.”
Elli loves the company of her sister Rosie as well.
