A woman named Jillian was taking some trash out on Friday last week when she suddenly thought she saw something hiding in the darkness.
Two eyes were looking back at her and from what she could deduce from the outline was that it was a dog that was crouching in her backyard. She knew that a stray dog is a timid one and approaching it rather too quickly could scare it off.
Jillian said to media, “She ran away as soon as she saw me coming. But when I talked to her in a comforting tone, she stopped and started to listen to me.”
The dog went away for the day but came back the next day. Still, the dog maintained quite a distance between her and Jillian. When Jillian again called the dog, it ran away but this time, not too far away.
This is when Jillian realized that stray up needed something but Jillian was not aware of how to ask it from the dog.
She said, “When I returned back into the house, I realized that she was following me from a reasonable distance. This is when I figured it out that I can get her to trust me. I went aside to bringing a bowl of water and some dog food and left it on the corner of my backyard and walked some distance away from them.”
The dog ate the food but still kept her distance while following her from a distance.
The dog came next day and this time Jillian placed the food and stayed close to the bowl. She thought that the dog would eat the food and run away. However, the dog stayed after eating and even came close to Jillian and sniffed her.
Jillian said, “I never had a stray dog warm up to me in such a manner. It seems she was waiting for someone to give her a chance and lover her.”
Jillian known realized that the dog was to be part of their family so she named her Luna.
Now Luna has finally settled in with her new family who all love her unconditionally. She is still scared especially from noises like a closing door but she is adjusting well for now.
