These mythical monsters are some of the strangest, most bizarre and terrifying creations ever, ranging from glorified animals to humanoid mythical creatures. Known as the “Father of All Monsters”, Typhon was believed to be the most deadly monster of Greek mythology. His human upper half supposedly reached as high as the stars, and his hands reached east and west. Instead of a human head, a hundred dragon heads erupted from his neck and shoulders.
The Chimera
The Chimera was a monstrous fire-breathing female creature of Lycia in Asia Minor who was composed of the parts of three animals; a lion, a snake and a goat. The term chimera has come to describe any mythical or fictional animal with parts taken from various animals, or to describe concepts perceived as wildly imaginative or implausible.
Ophiotaurus
Ophiotaurus was a creature that was part bull and part serpent. It’s entrails were said to grant the power to defeat the gods to whoever burned them.
Cerberus
A multi-headed dog, or “hellhound”, Cerberus guards the gates of the Underworld to prevent those who have crossed the river Styx from ever escaping.

American Bandogge

Boer Boel
The Boer Boel is a large, mastiff dog breed from South Africa which was bred for the purpose of guarding a home or farm. German shepherd
This dog is appreciated for its intelligence, spirit of observation and strength. German shepherds help in the search for criminals, drugs, weapons and bombs. They learn to obey orders easily. As a rule, the German shepherd doesn’t attack without reason, but there were cases when they attacked their own masters because of incorrect training. This is why any trainer needs to be careful with these dogs. Often, during the pursuit of an offender, a German shepherd may cause him deadly injuries.
Papillon
These tiny dogs have a difficult character. They can bite the man’s hand or a finger. The small jaws don’t permit the dog to make life-threatening bites. However, papillins get agitated easily, and are quick to attack and bitePapillons have a history of attacking passers-by during a walk, so it is advisable to put them on a leash.
Akita
The Akita’s ancestors were hunting dogs which were crossed with other types to create a strong and courageous fighting animal. They are very territorial and are reserved with unfamiliar people. They are dominant when interacting with other dogs, and they don’t get on with other dogs they haven’t met before. A novice dog owner will have trouble managing their dog aggression.
Perro de Presa Canario
The Perro de Presa Canario is a large dog that was originally bred for working livestock. The name of the breed is Spanish and it means “Canarian catch dog”. Presas require early socialization and obedience training. In some situations, the Presa can be aggressive toward other dogs and suspicious of strangers.
Wolf Hybrid
The Wolf Hybrid, or Wolfdog, results from the crossing of a domestic dog with a wolf. The genetic makeup of the offspring can be quite random, which means their behavior is unpredictable. Individual animals may have behavioral characteristics that are like those of the wolf, while others behave more like domestic dogs. It is thought that the aggressive dog behavior shown by the wolf hybrid is predatory. Certainly this can be backed up by statistics showing that more wolf dog attacks are on small children rather than adults.

Bali Bird-of-Paradise
The Birds of Paradise are members of the family Paradisaeidae of the order Passeriformes. The majority of species in this family are found on the island of New Guinea and its satellites, with a few species occurring in the Moluccas and eastern Australia. It’s likely that you will only see them on film, though, because they mostly live in inaccessible, dense rainforest habitats.
D’Arnaud’s Barbet
The D’Arnaud’s Barbet is one of 42 species of barbet, all of which are found in sub-Saharan Africa. Unlike other birds who would prefer to create their nests on trees, the D’Arnaud’s Barbet nests in vertical tunnels two to three feet (.6 to .9 meters) into the ground.
The Atlantic Puffin
The Atlantic Puffin (Fratercula arctica) is a seabird species in the auk family. It is a pelagic bird that feeds primarily by diving for fish, but also eats other sea creatures, such as squid and crustaceans. Its most obvious characteristic during the breeding season is its brightly colored bill. Also known as the Common Puffin, it is the only puffin species which is found in the Atlantic Ocean.
Royal Flycatcher
This bird is known for the magnificent natural crown, which is resplendent in a vibrant red color. Its males have an amazing red crown while the females have a black crown with deep blue edges. Like peacocks, the Flycatchers spread their feathered crown in courtship ceremonies and during violent confrontations with other birds of their species.
Golden Pheasant
A truly magnificent sight, the Golden or Chinese Pheasant is another type of bird that catches the eye with a wonderful display of color. These are gamebirds, native to western China, although they have been bred in other countries like the UK, and are unmistakably lovely with a golden crest, rump and bright red body. When showing off to attract a mate, the male spreads his deep orange ‘cape,’ which looks just like a black and orange fan covering everything except the bright yellow eye. It is native to forests in mountainous areas of western China, but feral populations have been established in the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
Malabar Pied Hornbill
This strange-looking bird is found in India and Sri Lanka and can be easily identified by the horn on its beak. In the past, tribes in India believed that hanging a skull of a hornbill in the house would bring wealth and money, but over the years they stopped with this custom. Experts have not been able to quantify the number of Malabar Pied Hornbill currently in existence, but it is classified as a “threatened species” that may dwindle over the next few years.
The California Condor
The California Condor (Gymnogyps californianus) is a New World vulture, and the largest North American land bird. This condor inhabits northern Arizona and southern Utah (including the Grand Canyon area and Zion National Park), the coastal mountains of central and southern California, and northern Baja California. Although other fossil members are known, it is the only surviving member of the genus Gymnogyps.
The Northern Cardinal
The male Northern Cardinal may be responsible for getting more people to open up a field guide than any other bird. They’re a perfect combination of familiarity, conspicuousness, and style: a shade of red you can’t take your eyes off. Even the brown females sport a sharp crest and warm red accents. Cardinals don’t migrate and they don’t molt into a dull plumage, so they’re still breathtaking in winter’s snowy backyards. In summer, their sweet whistles are one of the first sounds of the morning.

Animal Trainers killed while training animals
The fascination of interacting with wild animals has captivated millions. For some, it has provided a career that few would have the courage to undertake. However, a person’s dedication and love for wildlife can often cloud his judgment, leading to a painful demise. Here are few individuals whose passion cost them their lives in the most horrific, bloody, and terrifying ways.
Lights, Camera, Agony
On April 22, 2008, trainers and cousins Stephen and Randy Miller were practicing a routine with Rocky, a 700 pound grizzly bear, when terror struck. Rocky bit Stephen on the neck, tossing him like a rag doll, causing him to bleed to death.
One Woman vs. the Pack:-
In June 2012, a trainer at Kolmarden Wildlife Park—one of Sweden’s most popular tourist attractions—informed her colleagues that she was going into the wolves’ den. Although that may sound like suicide, it was a “routine” visit designed to “maintain contact with the wolves.”
When she did not return, her colleagues became concerned and decided to check on her.
To their shock and horror, they found the 30-year-old woman dead from mauling by eight wolves that she had raised from birth. The woman’s body was only recovered after rescue workers and park staff forced the wolves away from her corpse.
Wild Horses:-
Charlynn Taketa, 62, had grown up training horses since a young age. On August 11, 2011, Charlynn was caring for one horse when a second reared up and kicked her in the head. She bled out.
Man vs. Dumbo:-
In 2010, the Irem Shrine Circus came to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. An elephant by the name of Dumbo attacked its trainer, kicking him and throwing him 20-feet into the air. The trainer fell hard onto the concrete, dying.
Two Bears vs. One Man:-
In 2008, Benjamin Cloutier chased his dreams and headed 3,200 kilometers (2,000 mi) west to live and work on a Montana ranch. Four years later on November 4, 2012, his life came to a tragic end at age 24.
On that day, Benjamin, who was a trainer at a Montana wildlife casting agency, was mauled to death by two 90-kilogram (500 lb) grizzly bears as he cleaned their cages.
Speculation arose as to the exact events that took place. Some believed that Benjamin had fallen, hit his head, and lost consciousness before the attack because he had no defensive wounds on his hands.
Cobra VS Man:-
Ali Khan Shamsudeen, a Malaysian snake charmer, earned himself the nickname of “Snake King” after breaking multiple records while handling dangerous reptiles. In 2006, he was bitten by one of his cobras in front of fans. He was rushed to the hospital, but died three days later.
Tiger vs. Man:-
Alexander Crispin, 35, a circus trainer in Suarez, Mexico, was attacked by a Bengal tiger during one performance in front of a packed crowd. The tiger lunged at Crispin, mauling him on the ground relentlessly while others hit the animal with metal poles. Crispin died of massive blood loss.
