They say that Australia is never boring. One such rare incident took place in Australia when a resident named Kerry McKinnon of Western Victoria, Australia received a shocking surprise from its pet Golden Retriever; Asha. The thing that this Golden Retriever did might not happen to any other dog owner in the world.
In Australia, temperatures tend to plummet down to 5 degree Celsius in the early hours of the day. Not every animal living in Australia has a thick fur like Asha to protect themselves from this cold.
Kerry told the local Australian News Reporter that, “it was rather early in the morning when my husband yelled me to come out and take a look at something. I did not know what he was talking about but then I saw Asha with a tiny Koala sitting on top of her all snuggled up in Asha’s fur.”
Kerry did say that she was caught off guard at first and started laughing. “I just burst into laughing and poor Asha was just standing there looking at me with a confused look”, Kerry further said.
She further told the reporter that, “Asha kept looking back on her back to Koala but she was definitely not trying to get her off. She was happy to let the Kala snuggle up on her.”
It is not known as to how Asha came about this Koala and why did koala take a liking to Asha. According to Kerry this tiny koala might have fallen out of its mother’s pouch and ended up wandering in their backyard. Asha might have seen it trembling with cold and just kept her snuggled up in her fur.”
The couple has named this tiny koala as “Joey”. After they took him to vet, a koala carer took him to release Joey back into the wild.
Scroll down to look at the pictures of both Asha and Joey together.
