If you live in Los Angeles and you have been lately struggling to get a reservation for a table at one of the fanciest restaurants in the town, it is probably because of a dog named Popeye. This cute looking canine was once an ordinary, stray and a starving pup that was used to eating whatever he could find the garbage. However, after being rescued by his new owner Ivy Diep, this fluffy pup is now a major foodie who visits every major restaurant with his owner in town.
Ivy told media, “I found him as a stray one day. The poor pup was such a mess. He was super skinny, with heavily matted fur which was extremely dirty as well.”
Ivy was not particularly looking for a dog at that time because she already had a full home however; no one wanted to adopt Popeye so she ended up adopting the poor family out of love.
Ivy told about adopting this dog to media, “it was not long that Popeye made my home as his own with my other pet dogs. Of course, I and my husband instantly fell in love with him too”.
Ivy further told media, “one of my friends named Jen suggested o me that I should make an Instagram account for Popeye because he is so cute. Jen and I usually go on what we call as ‘Instagram Dates’ where we post photos of our food. Well after Popeye came into our lives, we started taking him to our dates and he was very happy around the food. He does not lunge on food like any other dog. He just likes to be out. He only gets a nibble of anything that he likes to eat and finds safe for him. N case, he lies nothing, I always carry a bag of treats for him”.
Popeye, the dog has now 108,000 followers on his Instagram account.
