There are a lot of dogs in shelter houses that do not get adopted year after year all because of their outward appearance. Still, there are some kind-hearted souls in this world that actually see the beauty of these dogs and one of them is a woman named Amanda Richter who along with her boyfriend named Brad Ames came across one such dog named Brodie.
Brodie is a mix of the Border collie and German Sheppard dog who got attacked by his own mother when he was only 13 days old. This horrific attack ad left the poor pup with a deformed and disfigured face which has also resulted in Brodie being partially blind. However, when Amanda and her boyfriend laid eyes on Brodie, they instantly fell in love with him.
This is the Wonky Faced dog named Brodie who has now found his forever home.
The new owner of Brodie did not care much about his disfigured face when they came to the Old MacDonald Kennels located in Alberta, Canada to visit him. They knew instantly that Brodie was meant to be their dog and they decided to adopt him right there.
Brodie’s new owner has now made him his own Instagram account where they share the daily life pictures of Brodie and show the world as to how much fun a Wonky Faced dog can have. In some of the videos of Brodie, he can often be seen playing happily with his ball or scratching his head. He does not seem to be bothered by his looks at all.
After many fans asked Brodie’s owner to see his pictures when he was a puppy, the couple shared a photo of Brodie with the following caption,
“A lot of you guys asked what Brodie looked liked as a puppy…..so here you go! Thanks to his old family for getting in touch and showing us just how sweet of a baby he was!”
Before Brodie became part of his new family, he was also adopted once by another person. But they had to return him back to shelter as they were not able to keep up with Brodie’s endless energy.
After Brodie’s puppy pictures went viral, his owner encouraged others to adopt for poor dogs that were in a similar predicament as Brodie.
One of their posts reads as follows,
“It’s not hard to see why everyone loves this little goofball as much we do lol. We hope that all this recognition will help others make the decision to rescue and adopt, especially those “less than perfect” animals out there! They deserve love as much as anyone. Thanks for all the love! Support your local rescues and shelters guys!”
