On a chilly night of Tuesday this week in the New York City, the 143rd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show was hosted at the Madison Square Garden.
On his night, people gathered in support of a literal underdog.
The award for the “Best In Show” was given to King, a Wire Fox Terrier breed dog in the event.
However, everyone is saying that the Dachshund was robbed of this title.
The Regal Terrier was awarded as the top winner of the event along with winning the Terrier Group. According to local media, King is the 15th reported winner of this event for top prize which is most that any other dog breeds have won.
Although King’s overall performance was superb in the event, people are still claiming that it was far from getting the “Best In Show” award and the rightful winner should a longhaired Dachshund named “Burns”.
Burns actually won the Hound group of the event. He looks immensely magnificent just look at him run down below.
Dog lovers at the event flocked to Twitter after the unjust results were announced to raise their voice for Burns.
King also won over his own group’s best dogs like Bono the Havanese, Baby Lars the bouvier des Flandres, Bean the Sussex spaniel (who people thought got well robbed last year), and Wilma the boxer. However, none of these losing pouches actually spurred the hard reaction from people as they had for Burns’ loss.
However, everyone’s favorite little sausage dog was still able to have his little photobomb.
This is also not the first time when a Westminster Dog Show winner of Best in Show has been met with an outrage.
