People are knitting giant sweaters for rescued elephants for protection from cold

In northern India, winter gets unusually chilly. The volunteers at the Wildlife SOS Elephant Conservation and Care Center decided to do something selfless for the gentle elephants of the sanctuary. They decided to knit sweaters for these elephants to protect them from approaching winter cold.

For knitting, this one giant and massive sweater for these giant elephants usually takes about 4 weeks of hard work and dedication as the volunteers are knitting these sweaters by hand. While knitting such a massive sweater is hard work in its own self, volunteers are making sure that these sweaters are not only warm but also colorful and some even fashionable.

Cofounder Kartick Satyanarayan said in a release to the media, “it is important to keep our elephants protected from the approaching bitter cold during this extremely cold weather. These elephants are weak and vulnerable, as they have suffered so much abuse in their lives. They are highly susceptible to developing Pneumonia and various other cold-related ailments easily than compared to the wild elephants. The cold also tends to aggravate arthritis in these elephants which has been a primary issue for our rescued elephants and we have been dealing with it since we started this project.”

Thank goodness that the world has these kind and devoted people who are making sure that the abuse of these sweet and gentle creatures not only ended but they are also living a stylish life in the future.

Meet Monkey, who is a black cat with real live vampire looking teeth and seems as if she has popped out straight from a Halloween movie. Monkey is a rescued kitty who lives in New York with his caring and loving owner. Believe us when we say that he has Vampire teeth because they are not prosthetic but real live teeth.

Monkey’s new owner is a woman named Nicole Rienzi whose mother one day almost hit Monkey one day with her car. After getting out of the car, Nicole and her mother found a black cat that was severely malnourished and was covered in bugs and dirt. He also had an eye infection, which nearly shut his eyes closed.

Rienzi told media, “At first I thought about finding him right home, but then I realized that our meeting was a divine alignment. I needed Monkey as much as he needed me.”

Soon after Nicole adopted him, he started to grow teeth and it was then Nicole realized that Monkey was a special cat.

Monkey’s canine stated to grow longer and longer until this cat started to look like a vampire. Nicole at first was worried and took him to a vet. The vet assured Nicole that Monkey was fine and the teeth posed no harm to him. These long fans in cats are rare but they do grow in some.

Nicole said to media, “When people take a look at Monkey’s pictures, many say that they are fake. Some people even called them Photoshopped but they are not. These are just his funny cat teeth.”

Meet Coco, a blind Woodchuck who was rescued when he was found badly injured while awaiting its death in the family’s yard for three days

While Coco was in the 90-degree heat… birds had started to come down and peck at her head

She spent 3 days paralyzed and unable to move

The people who found her called a local wildlife rehabber, Molly Ryan, who started treating her

The woman was doing everything to nurture the animal back to health

Molly would wake up twice in the night to check up on Coco. Eventually, Molly decided it was better that they would sleep together.

Coco would snuggle up with me through the night and she also made sure that part of me was touching her all night

When Molly decided to release Coco back into the wild, she realized that something was wrong

I realized that she would open half her eyes and sometimes would not even open them at all

Molly told this to a local vet and he confirmed that Coco was blind.

Now Molly could not think of releasing Coco back into the wild and just like that, Coco became the permanent member of Molly’s family
