One ordinary, when a man named Erikas Plucas came home from work he made an unusual discovery. A baby moose was lying in front of his house at the gate. Plucas told the media, the first sight of the moose was terrible. She was severely starved and was so terrified of me that she wanted to run away but was too weak to do so”.
Plucas thought that the baby’s mother must have been shot down by the hunters as they were in Lithuania which left the tiny animal terrified and in danger of its own life.
Plucas decided to keep this baby moose and a magical friendship brewed between the man and animal. Starting her treatment, Plucas would start by feeding her every four hours and would even sleep next to her in the barn or outside to make her feel safe and comfortable.
Finally, after the treatment and care, it was time to release the animal back into the wild. However, since the day of it being released back into the wild, the moose still visits her “Dad” every single day. The moose is currently pregnant so Plucas is going to have more visitors and he is certainly happy about this.
Plucas told media, “She turned my life around. I am a man but I became a mother to a moose. I am her whole world now and she is mine. Sometimes I think to myself, was it me who saved her or is it the other way around?”
