The boys in these photographs are actually sons of Elena Shumilova and the animals in the photos are actually the animals that belong to this Russian photographer’s farm. Elena Shumilova told media, “When it comes to composing photos, I mainly trust my intuition and inspiration. I get the inspiration from my own desire to express something normal in an amazing way that I feel myself. However, I cannot explain as to what I really feel.”
In a single glance, the main components of her photography seem to be the Rural settings, natural phenomena and the changing seasons that add certain unique stimuli to her creativeness. The photographer says, “When shooting photographs, I prefer to work in natural light for both inside and outside photoshoots. I love to work with all sorts of light conditions like street lights, candle light, fog, smoke, rain, and snow. Each of these conditions provides me to have a visual and emotional depth to an image.
Elena Shumilova told that her passion for photography manifested back in early 2012 when she got her hands on her very first camera. As for her now most recent equipment, she has a Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera and a 135mm lens. She is a mother who does not want to miss out on the beautiful moments in her boys’ life so she shoots all day long and processes the images at night.
