Houseplants safe for Cats and Dogs

Keeping your house filled with decorative pants along with pets can be a little challenging. No matter how much well behaved these fluffy pets might be, once you take your eye off of them they have taken a bite of your plants. To keep these pets safe in house foiled with plants we have brought to you some plants that are non toxic for your pet’s health, be it a dog or a cat.

Haworthia:-

Haworthia is a plant of succulent family that is small in size and has stubbed white bands over its leaves. These plants grow well in a place with bright light, moisture and lot of soil drainage. The shape of this plant resemble quite a lot with Aloe but it is safe for cats or dogs even if they take a bite off of it.

African Violet:-

African Violent plants blossoms flower year round along with its bright colored fuzzy green leaves. African violets bloom flowers of different colors like Blue, pink, lavender and red. Not only leaves of this plants but lowers are also completely non toxic to cats and dogs.

Boston Fern:-

Boston Fern is popular for its frilly green leaves that add to decor of any room in a house. Plants respond well towards indirect sun light and a cool place with humidity. They are both easy to take care of and safe for pets as well.

Christmas Cactus:-

In the dead of winter and approaching Christmas Eve, Christmas Cactus is a wonderful addition to any house. These plants do not require much care and respond well towards low light environment. The plant can be propagated easily by simply cutting off pieces and planting one in each room. On top of that it is completely non toxic for pets.

Staghorn Fern:-

Staghorn Fern is an air plant that must be hung on a wall to be in passage of air and moisture for better growth. The name Staghorn is given due to the resemblance of its ferns as antlers of a Staghorn deer. The plant is not only famous for its artistic look but also for being pet safe.

Wax Plant:-

Wax plant grows distinctive green color glossy leaves along with fragrant flowers. This plant is able to grow well in dry conditions and hence is popular as an indoor plant. Te pants grows star like flowers with a wax like cluster and are pink in color. These pink and white flowers bloom sweet nectar but fortunately they are also non toxic for your pets.
