Benz and his wife Wan is a married couple from Thailand who shared their heartwarming story of a dog rescue to the world. Both husband and wife are dog lovers and they also own a Boston Terrier named Lonfah. The name Lonfah in the Thai language translates into “Love you to the max”. They have been married since 2012 and have no kids, so they raise Lonfah as their own child.
One day they saw a post of a friend on Facebook that she had rescued a brutally wounded and injured female dog. The leg of the dog was especially wounded and the doctor said to avoid the infection, the leg must be amputated. Later, the doctor turned down his suggestion and with time and medication, the leg started to heal off nicely. All the other wounds also healed up nicely and the dog was not infected anymore. The dog was hospitalized for two more weeks and in the meantime, Benz and Wan’s friend was raising money to save the poor fellow’s life.
One day Wan asked Benz on the opinion of adopting that wounded female dog and after some time of discussion, the couple agreed to adopt the dog right away from the hospital. They went to the hospital that very evening and paid off all the bills remaining and the dog was discharged from the hospital.
During the first 4 days, the new dog was very aggressive; it would bark and growl at us all the time and would never let us go near her leg. We still sprayed the medicine over her leg to treat the wound. She was not trusting of anyone and would eat only a little food.
On the 5th day, Wan could not take any more of this and called a dog trainer to change the dog’s attitude and behavior. After 3-4 hours of extensive training, her attitude changed a little bit. The dog became open to humans once more and trainer later taught the couple s to how to get the dog on a leash and take her on walks.
The dog with her daily 4 hours session with dog trainer began to gradually become calmer and started to show her kind side towards her new owners.
From that day, it had been 3 months and now they are all living happily with this new young dog. They named this new dog “Din” which in the Thai language translates to “Soil”. They named her Din because of her brown color.
